Who I am
I'm Moosa, a Technical Trainer at a Toronto consulting firm. My job is running cohorts of working data engineers through certification exams: the Databricks Data Engineer Associate and Professional, Machine Learning Associate and Generative AI Engineer Associate exams, and the AWS Data Engineer and Machine Learning Engineer Associate exams. Certify is my own independent project: the same way of preparing, without me in the room, on a phone, in two-minute lessons.
Why this exists
Every cohort has someone who arrives with a dump: a file of leaked exam questions with answers, wrong in places, always out of date. People memorise it, pass or fail on luck, and cannot do the job afterwards. The exams reward something else entirely: reading a scenario and picking the trade-off the vendor recommends. That is a skill. It can be taught, and it only sticks when every question is original and every explanation says why the tempting answer is wrong. Certify exists so there is a place to practise that without ever touching a dump.
What it is not
- Not affiliated with any vendor. Databricks, AWS and Microsoft have nothing to do with this site. Every lesson is written from their public exam guides and documentation, and the process page says exactly how.
- Not a dump. No question here is taken from a real exam, and none ever will be.
- Not an account you have to make. Progress lives in your browser. The only thing you can buy is a one-time unlock per course after a free first unit, and the price depends on the course. No subscription, no guaranteed pass, because nobody honest can promise one.
Found a question that is wrong, ambiguous or out of date? Report it and it gets fixed as an erratum.
